Breakfast and Brunch October 1, 2010

Mom always told you that breakfast was the most important meal of the day!  And brunch has become a treasured celebration of the weekend – more than breakfast, it’s a gathering with friends!  Here are some of our ideas for ways to make that first meal of the day special.

Pain Perdu with fresh strawberries
Fruit salad with fresh berries, kiwi, and seasonal fruits
Blintzes with spiced apples

Fried Green Tomatoes with Lump Crabmeat Salad, Citrus Zest dressing
Bagel Platter with Lox, Whitefish, Tomatoes, Red Onion, Cream Cheeses, Capers
Dutch Pancake with pears and powdered sugar
Baked French Toast with raisins and pecans and real maple syrup
Egg Strata with Vermont Cheddar Cheese, home-cured ham and savory vegetables (vegetarian version also available)
Made to Order Omelet Station at your next breakfast or brunch party
Sour Cream or Sour Milk Old Fashioned Pancakes to order:  chocolate chip, blueberry, banana-walnut, apple
Homemade Old Fashioned Waffles with Maple Syrup and Fruit Sauces (whipped cream and fresh fruit optional)
Eggs Benedict with hollandaise
